Bird Watching

In and around the Gairloch area, amongst the many species you might see are a wide range of raptors, including white-tailed (sea) eagles, golden eagles, buzzards, peregrine falcons and merlins, while on hill lochs and on the coast there are black and red throated - and occasionally great northern - divers, and on the coast, terns, bonxies (great skuas), mergansers, gannets, common and black guillemots, oyster catchers, gulls of many types and much, much more.
