about aird cottage

Aird Cottage is perched on a grassy terrace on the high headland forming the north side of Badachro Bay. From its extensive and very private and secluded garden, you can sit in peace and tranquillity while watching boats come and go on the sea below and village life on the Bay’s southern shore opposite, the awe-inspiring Wester Ross hills providing an ever-present backdrop beyond.

Originally a 4-room cottage in which two families lived either side of a common front door and stair, the property has been extended and modernised over the decades to meet modern tastes without losing any of its original charm.

Today it is as warm as you want to make it, thanks to the new radiators in every room and underfloor heating in the new bathroom. And it's comfortable, its traditional furnishings very much in keeping with its period, location and character. So if you are looking for a real Highland getaway in a stunning location – a property to return to year after year – then Aird Cottage is for you.
