Major General David and Jean Richardson moved to Badachro in 1945, living here happily for many years. They renovated and extended Aird Cottage, a 4-bedroom cottage in which two families had once lived, developing the grounds too.
The fifth generation - their great-great-grandchildren - are now holidaying in Aird Cottage with their parents, and it remains a much loved home-from-home for us all to this day.
We are sure that you will enjoy it as much as we do.

WARM & COMFORTABLE
Aird Cottage has been further modernised as time has passed, and today it is both comfortable, its traditional furnishings very much in keeping with its period, location and character, and as warm as you want to make it thanks to the new radiators in every room and underfloor heating in the new bathroom and a cosy sitting room with an open fire.
So if you are looking for a real Highland getaway in a stunning location – a property to return to year after year – then Aird Cottage is for you.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AIRD COTTAGE
Access
Access to the cottage from the private car park on the public road is down a steepish path with three very short flights of steps. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or for people with walking difficulties.
Bed Linen & Towels (Not Provided)
There are duvets and pillows on all beds, and blankets are also available.
However, you will need to bring your own bed linen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and towels) with you.
There is one standard double bed and the rest are singles.

HEATING
Modern electric radiators are situated throughout the cottage and the bathroom has underfloor heating.
